Coronavirus: UK arrivals could face £1,000 fines if they break quarantine
International travellers could be fined £1,000 if they fail to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival in the UK, the government is expected to announce.

- National Express issues April trading updateNational Express Group has provided a further brief update on April trading conditions following its post-Covid-19 updates of 19 March and 14 April. The company reports that revenue for April is around 50% compared to the same month in 2019, which it says is in line with the guidance provided to investors earlier this month.
- TfWM hospital staff shuttle used more than 2,500 timesA special shuttle bus service has been used more than 2,500 times to carry NHS and social care workers to hospital and health facilities since the start of April, says Transport for West Midlands (TfWM). The West Midlands Ring and Ride minibuses were redeployed at the start of April to help health workers get to work during the coronavirus outbreak by offering a free shuttle bus service, targeted at areas with gaps in public transport provision. TfWM says it has proved popular with staff working at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton’s New Cross Hospital and Walsall’s Manor Hospital.
