Scotland's beleaguered Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson resigns after the country was brought to a standstill by severe weather.

£300k to shut tram stop as new one is built a quarter of a mile away

A tram stop could be demolished at a cost of £300,000 as part of a bid to boost links to a school and community complex. Transport chiefs are building a new stop at Abraham Moss in Crumpsall and want to close the Woodlands Road stop less than a quarter of a mile away.
