Businesses need a new high speed rail network, the head of Britain’s business organisations has told MPs. David Frost, director general of the British Chambers of Commerce, warned the Government not to give in to opponents attempting to block plans for a £17 billion service linking Birmingham with London, Leeds and Manchester.
