Michael O’Leary, chief executive of Ryanair, has said the airline’s aeroplanes will not be disinfected after every flight, and instead will be cleaned once daily with chemicals which he claims provide protection for 24 hours. Speaking in a conference call with investors last week, O’Leary said that disinfecting flights on turnaround was not possible and that airports across Europe did not have the facilities to make it possible.
