The hope is the new stations will offer relief to the M4 Transport for Wales has revealed how five new railway stations in Wales could look. A public consultation has been launched today encouraging people to give their say on the designs for stations proposed for Cardiff East, Newport West, Somerton, Llanwen and Magor and Undy.
Network Rail slashes track renewals team with 269 redundancies
In the lead up to Control Period 7 (CP7), April 2024-March 2029, Network Rail has cut more than 500 posts in its Track Renewal Service (TRS), with 269 employees having lost their jobs.
