  • TfL to present modern vision at FutureFestTransport for London (TfL) has announced that it will be teaming up with innovation charity Nesta to exhibit at FutureFest, which will take place on March 14th and 15th at Vinopolis in London Bridge.   • Network Rail denies 'Thameslink rethink' reports Network Rail has denied reports that it will review its plans for the Thameslink Programme after fresh scenes of disruption and overcrowding at London Bridge on Tuesday evening. However, it will be looking again at the way the station is being managed during the partial closure for major modernisation. Commuters trying to escape the latest crush were reported to have jumped over ticket barriers in desperation, after the disruption was intensified by a person on the tracks at Streatham.
  • First 319s run on Northern route The first electric trains cascaded from Thameslink went into service with Northern this morning. The start was three days later than planned, because inspectors from the ORR had voiced last-minute concerns about some aspects of the overhead line equipment. The 06.16 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport service was the first train to use the newly electrified route following the completion of work by Network Rail.
