Trains cancelled because of high temperatures
Trains between Maesteg and Bridgend have been cancelled this afternoon, because of the heat. Arriva Trains Wales said a replacement bus service was running between Maesteg and Bridgend because of the impact the heat could have on the track, and that it was a safety precaution.
Government to be urged to make improvements to Midland Mainline by business leaders
Business leaders and politicians are expected to seek an early meeting with transport ministers in a bid to preserve train times between Nottingham and the capital and press for improvements.
