Air pollution in UK cities has failed to improve because politicians prioritise road safety and economic growth instead, research suggests.
ScotRail say 900,000 journeys made fraudulently each year
An estimated 900,000 rail journeys each year in Scotland are made by people who deliberately avoid paying their fare, according to train operator ScotRail, which revealed the figure as it launched a crackdown on fare dodgers.
Trial could see end to train tickets and automatic best prices for each journey
A 12-month Chiltern Railways trial will be launched later this year on journeys between Birmingham and London
