Prizewinning rail companies have sent back their awards in protest at a ceremony that presented a mock terrorist attack as entertainment. The organisers of the UK Rail Industry Awards have issued an apology after staging spoof killings as a joke, in a year when rail staff have been at the forefront of saving terrorism victims and recovering bodies.
