The Department for Transport (DfT) is considering the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the High Speed 2 (HS2) project. In response to a written parliamentary question, parliamentary under-secretary for transport Baroness Vere of Norbiton said that the business case for Phase 2b's western leg “will use demand scenarios that explore the impact of Covid to inform the business case”.
