  • Bridge work caught on time-lapse filmTHE Highways Agency has released time-lapse video footage showing how a new railway bridge was built over the A46 at Bingham. Contractors worked around the clock over the Christmas holidays to install the bridge, part of the A46 Newark-to-Widmerpool improvement scheme. The work was followed by around 300 people over Christmas Day and Boxing Day, who watched from a special public viewing area. The new A46 needs to go under the existing railway line at Bingham, so the bridge has been put in place to take trains over the road.
