The risk of international piracy is growing, with the greatest threat coming from Somalia, a new report has warned.According to the study, the maritime problem costs the world between $7 billion and $12 billion annually in security equipment, ransom, lost trade and rerouting vessels to avoid trouble spots.UK-based organisation Chatham House concluded there has been a rise in acts of piracy reported in spite of international efforts to improve patrolling of the seas.The think tank explained around 1,600 incidents have taken place since 2006, with more than 54 people killed as a result.One Earth...
